A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF
TWO (2) CAST ALUMINUM BIRD SCULPTURES FROM
COMMISSIONER ISAAC AELION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is continually beautifying the City of Sunny
Isles Beach through art for the enjoyment of its residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Isaac Aelion wishes to donate to the City two (2) cast
aluminum bird sculptures valued at Three Thousand Five Hundred Ten Dollars ($3,510.00); and
WHEREAS, the City exercises its authority to accept the donations in its capacity as a
non-profit municipal corporation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Acceptance of the Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation
of two (2) cast aluminum bird sculptures from Commissioner Isaac Aelion.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of June 2015. 40

RE: Resolution accepting donation of two sculptures
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission accept the donation of
two cast aluminum bird sculptures that were purchased in the amount
of$3,510.00.
•
REASONS:
These sculptures were donated by Commissioner Isaac Aelion for the
purpose of beautifying the City of Sunny Isles Beach through art.
