Special City Commission Meeting — Thursday, September 16, 1999, 6:50 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Samson at 6:58 p.m. with the following officials
being present:
Mayor David Samson
Vice Mayor Irving Turetsky
Commissioner Danny Iglesias
Commissioner Lila Kauffman
Commissioner Connie Morrow
Acting City Manager Jack Neustadt
City Clerk Richard Brown-Morilla
City Attorney Lynn Dannheisser
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ACTION: Commissioner Lila Kauffman led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
3. RESOLUTIONS:
3A. A\VARD OF BID - ROADWAY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT S.R. AlA (COLLINS
AVENUE). SOUTH OF WILLIAM LEHMAN CAUSEWAY Bid 99-08-01
ACTION: [City Clerk's note: a revised contract was distributed at the meeting] City Clerk
Brown-Morilla read the title, and Acting City Manager Jack Neustadt introduced the item.
Public Speakers: Ken Gardener, of Rosenberg Design Group
Commissioner Iglesias reminded staff to have plans ready to submit for additional grant
funding.
Commissioner Morrow moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve
the proposal. Resolution No. 99-155 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner Kauffman moved and Commissioner Morrow seconded a motion to adjourn
the special meeting, which was approved by a unanimous voice vote at 7:02 p.m.
