A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A FINANCIAL
DONATION FROM RK ASSOCIATES TO SUPPORT THE CITY'S
19TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach hosts an annual event to celebrate the
anniversary of the incorporation of the City; and
WHEREAS, the event this year will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Town Center
Park; and
WHEREAS, RK Associates generously offered a donation to support this event in the
amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) to be used to defray the costs of producing the
event; and
WHEREAS, the City exercises its authority to accept the donation in its capacity as a
- non-profit municipal corporation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Acceptance of the Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation
of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) from RK Associates to support the City's 19th
Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 12, 2016.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of June 2016.

RE: Accept Financial Donation from RK Associates to
Support the City's 19th Anniversary Celebration
RECOMMENDATION:
This resolution is presented for your consideration.
REASONS:
The City hosts an annual event to celebrate the anniversary of the
incorporation of the City. The event this year will be held on Sunday,
June 12, 2016 at Town Center Park. RK Associates generously offered
a donation to support this event in the amount of $3,000. This donation
will be used to defray the costs of producing the event.
FUNDING SOURCE:
There is no funding source required for the approval of this item.
