A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, APPROVING A MOTORCYCLE LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH PETERSON'S HARLEY-DAVIDSON OF
MIAMI, L.L.C., FOR LEASE OF FOUR (4) MOTORCYCLES, IN
AN AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS
($1,900.00) PER MONTH, FOR A TWENTY-FOUR (24) MONTH
PERIOD, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A";
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE
AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO
ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to enter into an agreement with
Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami, L.L.C., to meet the motorcycle needs of the Police
Department in the performance of police-related or law enforcement duties; and
WHEREAS, Peterson's Harley-Davidson currently provides lease services to several
Police agencies throughout Miami-Dade County and Broward County; and
WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department will piggyback the 2008 Lease
Agreement between the City of Doral Police Department and Peterson's Harley-Davidson of
Miami; and
WHEREAS, Peterson's Harley-Davidson has provided a plan for lease of four (4)
motorcycles in an amount of Four Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($475) for each, for a total of
One Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,900.00) per month, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for
a period of twenty-four (24) months.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the Motorcycle
Lease Agreement with Peterson's Harley-Davison of Miami, L.L.C., in an amount of One
Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,900.00) per month for a 24-month period, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A".
Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Lease
Agreement.
Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.

Section 4.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April 2010.

Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami, L.L.C. proposes to lease the City of Sunny Isles,
Harley-Davidson FLHP police motorcycles. The motorcycles will include all equipment,
i.e.: lights, box, siren, ABS brakes, etc.
The lease term is twenty-rour (24) months and will be billed monthly as per the pricing
schedule below.

Lighting
Black aluminum light box (20in LX 15in W X 6in D) with tray
& 12v power supply. Box equipped with H-D style lock keyed
to bike.
Three 4x7in blue LED flashing police lights mounted on the
sides & rear of box.
Two mini diamond pattern red LED aux brake lights mounted
in bottom rear of box.
Two mini diamond pattern blue LED running lights mounted on
bike below rear of box on license plate mount.
Two 2.75xlin blue (w/clear lenses) LED flashing police lights
mounted on side of headlight nacelle behind windshield &
facing out from the side of the bike.
Two 4in extended round blue LED flashing police lights
mounted next to headlight facing front.
Turn signal converter module (pin # 69461-06) to convert
existing turn signals into running & brake lights also. Comes
with red lenses.
Siren
Siren comes with speaker mounted on rlside engine guard.
Functions as a siren & also horn.

Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami, L.L.C. hereby amends the current lease agreement
between them and the City of Doral Police Department. This amendment adds one
additional motorcycle, taking the fleet from ten (10) FLHP police motorcycles to eleven
(11) motorcycles. All terms of the current lease remain in effect and will not change.
The additional bike will be placed in the established Doral fleet for the remainder of the
lease, scheduled for expiration or renewal in May of 2009. The additional monies for the
extra bike are $475.00 per month, and will be billed along with the other fleet often
motorcycles. The additional bike will be billed beginning March, 2009.

Approval to enter into an agreement with Peterson's Harley Davidson, Miamifor
the lease of four (4) police motorcycles and equipment, in the amount of one
thousand, nine hundred dollars ($1900,00) per month for twenty four (24)
months,
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the Mayor
to enter into a 24 month agreement with Peterson's Harley-Davidson, Miami, to provide lease
services to the City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department for Police Motorcycles and
equipment.
REASONS:
The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department will piggyback the 2008 Lease Agreement between the
City of Doral Police Department and Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami.
Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami currently provides services to several police departments
in Miami-Dadc County to include; Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor. Coral Gables, Doral, North Miami
Beach, South Miami and the University of Miami Police Departments,
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Peterson's Harley-Davidson, Miami's lease proposal includes; all police equipment (Lights, Siren
and Storage Box) all tires and maintenance for $475,00 per month. per motorcycle, Petcrson's
Harley-Davidson, Miamiwill also provide loaner police motorcycles during repair and
maintenance.
