RESOLUTION NO. 98- ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 98-37 WHICH
AUTHORIZED THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE AN
APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE SAFE
NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS BOND PROGRAM, AND
AUTHORIZED THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
RELATING TO THE GRANT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, ResolutionNo. 98-37 was written as a general authorization to apply for a grant
from the Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Program; and
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County staff has requested that our Resolution follow their
predetermined format;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Resolution No. 98-37 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effe dve upon passage.

It is recommended that the proposed resolution be adopted.
REASONS
Resolution 98 -37 did not fully meet the requirements for the application to the Safe
Neighborhood Parks Bond Program for the land acquisition Challenge grant.
