It is recommended that the City Commission empower the City Manager to
enter into agreements with the Homestead Police Department allowing for
the cooperation and manpower allowances of such agreements.
REASONS:
The City of Sunny Isles Beach is located within the territorial jurisdiction
of the County of Dade, and in close proximity to numerous law
enforcement agencies. Any investigations or arrest situations that require
moving between jurisdictions will be allowable with the Mutual Aide
Agreement in place.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This agreement will allow our agency to complete it's investigations and
close cases without having to call other law enforcement officers onto the
scene before arrests may be made.
Sincerely.
