A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 98-80, WHICH ESTABLISHED A
CITIZENS PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE, TO
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS
FROM FIFTEEN TO TWENTY-ONE; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commissioners wish to maximize greater citizen
participation in governmental affairs through advisory committees, working with the Commission
to develop information and recommendations in various areas; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor wishes to increase the number of members serving on the Citizens
Planning Advisory Committee;
WHEREAS, Section 2.2 of the Charter gives the Mayor the right to appoint standing
committees at hislher discretion at any time; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Resolution No. 98-80 which created the Citizens Planning Advisory Committee is
hereby amended to increase the number of members of the Citizens Planning
Advisory Committee from fifteen to twenty-one, with the Mayor appointing the
additional six members.
Section 2.
All other provisions of Resolution No. 98-80 shall remain in effect.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
