A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPROVING IN CONCEPT THE TERMS TO BE
INCLUDED IN A CONTRACT FOR THE SALE AND
PURCHASE OF VACANT PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOT
14, BLOCK 5, OF GOLDEN SHORES OCEAN BOULEVARD
ESTATE, SECTION C, PLAT BOOK 51, PAGE 93 OF THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
LOCATED AT 201 191st TERRACE, ON THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS PROVIDED IN THE LETTERS OF INTENT
SET FORTH AS COMPOSITE EXHIBIT "A";
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DRAFT SUCH
A CONTRACT; EXEMPTING PROPERTY FROM
APPRAISAL PURSUANT TO SECTION 166.045(B), FLORIDA
STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Commission have expressed the desire to create more than
several parks for the citizens of the City of Sunny Isles Beach as a matter of "quality of life";
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Mayor have reviewed and analyzed this interior lot
in order to create a neighborhood pocket park in this particular location of this City; and
WHEREAS, the proposed price of $85,000 for this particular lot appears to be fair and
reasonable and the City Manager does not believe the City needs to proceed with the expense of a
certified appraisal;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I.
Approval in Concept. The purchase ofthe vacant property described as Lot 14, Block
5, of GOLDEN SHORES OCEAN BOULEVARD ESTATES, SECTION C, according to the Plat
thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 51, Page 93 ofthe Public Records of Dade County, Florida, located
at 201 191 sl Terrace, on the terms provided in the letters of intent set forth as composite Exhibit "A"
is hereby approved in concept by the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
Section 2.
Direction to Draft Contract. The City Attorney is hereby directed to draft for
Commission approval such a contract and any and all documents to effectuate same on behalf of

the City.
Section 3.
Exemption from Appraisal. The property herein described, shall be, and hereby is,
approved to be exempted from an appraisal pursuant to Section 166.045, Florida Statutes by virtue
of the fact that the purchase price appears fair and reasonable against other comparable properties
and is less than $100,000.
Section 4.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
