A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING
THE FINAL PLAT OF GOLDEN VIEW T-18054; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the tentative plat of Golden View has been approved by Miami Dade County
on December 24, 1998 in accordance with Section 28-7 of the Code of Miami Dade County; and
WHEREAS, this Commission is now being presented, in accordance with Section 28-8 of
the Code of Miami Dade County and Section 177.071, F.S. (1997), with a final plat of certain lands
lying in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, said plat to be known as Golden View T-18054, the same being
a replat of Lots1, 2, and 7, Block 2, of Sunny Isles Shores Section A, according to the plat thereof,
as recorded in Plat Book 53 at Page 95 of the Public Records of Miami -Dade County, Florida, lying
totally within the City of Sunny Isles Beach ; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all requirements of law concerning said plat insofar of the
authority of this Commission is concerned, have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Final Plat Approved: That said final plat is hereby approved, the dedication of streets, alleys
and other rights -of -way however designated or depicted on said plat is hereby accepted; that
any easements to be vacated are hereby so vacated; that plat restrictions as may be listed on
the plat are approved and are to be enforced; that the approval of the plat is not a waiver of
any zoning regulations and that this approval is conditioned upon proper execution of all
documents required by the City Attorney's office.
2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
approving the final plat of Golden View.
REASONS
In accordance with Section 28-8 of the Code of Miami -Dade County and Section
177.071, Florida Statutes (1997) a plat must be finally approved by the governing
body of the municipality in which the property is located. As this plat has
successfully proceeded through the plat committee of Dade County which considers
all relevant zoning, planning, water and sewer, public works among other issues this
Commission's task is purely ministerial as the applicant has met all the requirements
of law concerning the plat.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the attached Resolution be approved.
REASONS
As you may recall, on or about January 22, 1999, the above -referenced property was
purchased by the City of Sunny Isles Beach for use as a park. Prior to that purchase,
the Sellers were required by contract to secure a tentative plat which vacated certain
easements that ran across the center of the property and said tentative plat thereby
vacated those easements. The process then requires final plat approval for which
the surveyor has performed certain work and for which the final plat application has
been processed through Miami -Dade County. The last step of this process is for the
municipality of the City of Sunny Isles Beach to approve the final plat. By your
resolution, that action will be so taken.
