REASONS As a public building, it would be appropriate to provide daily janitorial services, City Hall is scheduled to open in early February 1998. Accordingly, three vendors were invited to submit proposals. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The City will pay $900 per month for each of the first 6 months, and $925 per month for each of the next six months, for a total of$10,950. REASONS As a new facility, the Police Department is in need of janitorial services. Following a bid process, the City Commission awarded a contract to Hugo's Cleaning Service of South Florida for City Hall services. It makes sense to have one vendor supply cleaning services to both City Hall and the Police Department. The price negotiated, $925 per month, is the same for City Hall. The City Hall facility is about 15% larger, but is constructed as one large room. The Police Department facility is segregated into different operational areas and is more difficult to clean. The Police Department is operational 24 hours per day. For the above reasons we feel the price is favorable. The February 23, 1999 date was selected to end the agreement, to correspond to the termination of the City Hall janitorial services agreement. 7c3t?~ James DiPietro, City Manager JD:pw lOA City of Sunny Isles Beach 17070 Collins Avenue, Suite 250 Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 (305) 947-0606 phone (305) 949-3113 fax David Samson Mayor Irving Turetsky Vice Mayor Commissioners Danny Iglesias Lila Kauffman Connie Morrow James DiPietro City Manager Lynn M. REASONS The fIrm has been providing cleaning services for City Hall since February 1998 and for the Police Department from September 1998. Their work has been evaluated as satisfactory. REASONS The firm has been providing cleaning services for City Hall since February 1998 and for the Police Department from September 1998. Their work has been evaluated as satisfactory. Accordingly, an amended contract has been negotiated, resulting in an approximate 5.6% increase, from $1,850 per month to $1,953. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The proposed term of the agreement is from March 1999 through September 2000.
