RESOLUTION NO. 99-157
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION WHICH WAS HELD ON TUESDAY,
SEPTEMBER 21, 1999 AND DECLARING DANNY IGLESIAS AND
LILA KAUFFMAN TO BE ELECTED; DISCHARGING THE
CANVASSING BOARD FOR SAID GENERAL ELECTION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach held a General Election on Tuesday, September 21,
1999; and
WHEREAS, via City Resolution No. 99-145, the City Commission designated Manny Pine
(registered voter), Charles Wachsberg (registered voter), the City Clerk, the City Manager, and the
City Attorney to serve on the Canvassing Board for said General Election; and
WHEREAS, the Canvassing Board publicly canvassed the votes cast for the candidates in the
General Election and certified the General Election results on September 21, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance of Results of General Election. The City Commission of the City of
Sunny Isles Beach hereby accepts the results of the General Election held on September 21, 1999, as
follows:
For RESIDENTIAL AREA COMMISSIONER -- SEAT 1, the whole numbers of
votes cast was 941, of which number
LILA KAUFFMAN received 580 votes
W. DONALD STEWART received 337 votes
Section 2. Discharge of the Canvassing Board. The City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles
Beach hereby discharges the Sunny Isles Beach Canvassing Board that was established for the
September 21, 1999, General Election and composed of the following members: Manny Pine
(registered voter); Charles Wachsberg (registered voter); Chairperson Richard Brown-Morilla (City
Clerk); Jack Neustadt (City Manager); and Lynn Dannheisser (City Attorney).
Section 3. Installation of New Officers. The City Clerk shall administer the Oath of Office to
Danny Iglesias, City Commissioner Seat 3; and Lila Kauffman, City Commissioner Seat 1, and the
new officers will be installed and shall enter upon the discharge of their duties.

Section 4.
Effective Date.
This resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

We the undersigned, Manny Pine, Member; Charles Wachsberg, Member; Jack Neustadt,
City Manager and Member; and Lynn Dannheisser, City Attorney and Member; and Richard
Brown-Morilla, Chairperson and City Clerk constituting the Canvassing Board for the City of
Sunny Isles Beach General Election, do hereby that we met on the 21 st day of September, 1999
and proceeded to publicly canvass the votes cast for the candidates in the CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH GENERAL ELECTION held on the 21 st day of September, 1999, as shown
by the returns on files in the office of the City Clerk, Supervisor of Elections. We do hereby
certify from said returns as follows:
For RESIDENTIAL AREA COMMISSIONER -- SEAT 1, the whole numbers of votes cast
