RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 201.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND UTILIZE A VEHICLE DONATED
TO THE CITY ON BEHALF OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes the safety of its citizens is of paramount
importance to the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, any addition to the Police fleet will greatly enhance that Department's
presence and hence, its efficiency; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has been offered a donated vehicle to greatly
facilitate its presence in the City for the health, welfare and benefit of the citizens of Sunny Isles
Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the acceptance of the donated
vehicle for the utilization and benefit ofthe City's Police Department;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Authorization to City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept the
donated vehicle for the utilization and benefit of the City's Police Department.
2. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of February, 2000.
