RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 21'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AUTHORIZATION TO
SPEND $13,884.15 FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET, AND
TO SPEND $25,000 FROM THE POLICE IMPACT FEES FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1999-2000 IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE NOS. 98-17
AND 98-25 FOR THE PURCHASE OF RADIOS WITH ACCESSORIES;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE 14 RADIOS
WITH ACCESSORIES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AT A COST
OF $38,884.15 FROM COMMUNICATIONS INT'L. INC.; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 98-17, as amended by Ordinance No. 98-25, authorizes the use
of Police Impact Fees for the".. . acquisition of capital equipment for police services"; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has previously authorized the Police Department to
purchase radios with accessories from Communication Int'I. Inc., based upon the Miami-Dade
County Vendor Bid List, and such radios were purchased; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department now needs to purchase 14 additional radios with
accessories as capital equipment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Police Department is authorized to spend $13,884.15 from the Police Department
Budget to purchase radios with accessories for police services.
Section 2. The Police Department is authorized to spend $25,000 from Police Impact Fees to
purchase radios with accessories for police services.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to purchase 14 radios with accessories for the Police
Department at a cost of $38,884. 15 from Communication Int'I. Inc., based upon the Miami-Dade
County Vendor Bid List.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately
