A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 99-149, WHICH AWARDED THE
OCEANFRONT PARK BID TO COAST TO COAST
CONSTRUCTION AND GENERAL CONTRACTORS, INC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE
ORIGINAL BID AMOUNT OF $609,885.00 TO $648,034.65 FOR
VARIOUS CHANGE ORDERS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE WHATEVER STEPS NECESSARY TO
FURTHER THE COMPLETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE OCEANFRONT PARK; PROVIDING'FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1999, the City Commission awarded the beachfront park bid to
Coast to Coast Construction and Restoration, Inc. in the original amount of $609,885.00; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to that time several change orders have been submitted, and
such adjustments have been made which will now bring the contract price to approximately
$648,034.65; and
WHEREAS, after substantial review and analysis the City Manager has determined that
these changes were necessary and request Commission approval regarding same.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Contract Price. The contract price for Coast to Coast Construction
and General Contractors, Inc. for the completion of the Oceanfront Park, be, and the same is
hereby amended to the approximate amount of $648,034.65, based on various adjustments.
Section 2. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
take whatever steps necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution and complete the
Oceanfront Park.
