RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 2.3.3"
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 3.1 (b) SUSPENDING
THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY WITH PAY
EFFECTIVE MAY 30, 2000 FOR FAILURE TO PERFORM
HIS DUTIES IN A PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY
MANNER; SCHEDULING A HEARING FOR FINAL
REMOVAL ON TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2000, AT 7:00 P.M.;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida is
vested with authority under Article 3, Section 3.1(B) of the Charter of the City of Sunny
Isles Beach, to suspend or remove the City Manager as Chief Administrative Officer of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has debated the issue and set a final hearing
date in accordance with the Charter; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section!. Suspension of City Manager. Jack Neustadt is hereby suspended
with pay in accordance with Section 3.1 (b) of the City Charter for failure to timely and
professionally carry out his duties;
Section 2. Final Hearing. The City Commission has set a final hearing and the
hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13,2000, at 7:00 p.m.
