RESOLUTION NO. 2000-2..5 2.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF ADDITIONAL
CURB AND GUTTERING ALONG 174TH STREET WEST OF
NORTH BAY ROAD BY H & R PAVING, INC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 24, 2000, the City Commission approved a contract with H & R
Paving, Inc. for resurfacing, curb removal, re-striping and curb painting of 174th Street; and
WHEREAS, during the initial curb removal phase it was discovered that additional curb and
guttering replacement was needed in order to maintain the proper flow of water in the drainage
system; and
WHEREAS, it is cost effective and efficient for the City to have H & R Paving, Inc. replace
the additional curb and guttering at this time; and
WHEREAS, H & R Paving, Inc. has furnished competitive pricing to perform this task;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Additional Work. The H & R Paving invoice for additional curb and
guttering replacement, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", in the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred
Sixty Dollars ($6,560.00) is hereby approved.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do any and
all things necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution is effective upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 2000.
