HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2000-266 RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 2.."''=> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.500 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND ($1000) DOLLARS OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 14.521 PERCENT GREATER THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.183 MILLS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000/2001; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2000 Taxable Value"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach has furnished to the County Property Appraiser, the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and WHEREAS, the Commission, by motion, agreed to establish the proposed millage rate at 2.500 mills per one thousand; and WHEREAS, the Commission must first establish a tentative millage rate prior to consideration of adoption of a proposed budget; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The tentative millage rate is hereby established as 2.500 per One Thousand ($1000) Dollars of assessed value of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The millage reflected is 14.521 % greater than the "rolled back" rate of 2.183 mills. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on this r day of ,2000.
