RESOLUTION NO. 2000-270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING
JUDGE ROBERT NEWMAN (RETIRED) AND DARCEE
SIEGEL AS SPECIAL MASTERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
ORDINANCE NO. 98-57; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 98-57 provides that appointments of Special
Masters shall be made by the City Manager, as needed, on the basis of experience for a term of one
year; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance provides that first time appointments shall be submitted to the
Commission for ratification; and
WHEREAS, Judge Robert Newman (Retired) and Darcee Siegel acted as Special Masters
for various municipalities in Miami-Dade County and extremely experienced with code enforcement;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Appointment. Judge Robert Newman (Retired) and Darcee Siegel are hereby are appointed
Special Masters pursuant to Code Enforcement Ordinance No. 98-57.
2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage.
