RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 299
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A POLICY TO
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE A $100 CHARITABLE
CONTRIBUTION IN THE EVENT OF THE DEATH OF AN EMPLOYEE'S
IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER, PURSUANT TO CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH MUNICIPAL CHARTER 97.6; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, City of Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter 97.6 requires the
affirmative votes of four members of the City Commission to approve any charitable
contributions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to
establish a policy regarding memorial contributions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to make
a $100 charitable contribution in the event of the death of an employee's immediate
family member (parent, spouse, sibling, and/or child).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. A policy is hereby established authorizing the City Manager to make a $100
charitable contribution in the event of the death of an employee's immediate
family member (parent, spouse, sibling, and/or child).
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
