HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2001-356 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-.3 Sic A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH PROPOSED AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.650 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND ($1,000) DOLLARS OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 12.958 PERCENT GREATER THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.346 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of2001 Taxable Value"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach has furnished the County Property Appraiser, the tentative millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and WHEREAS, on July 31,2001, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2001-350, establishing the tentative ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.650 mills per one thousand dollars of taxable assessed value; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The proposed millage rate is hereby established as 2.650 per One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The millage reflected is 12.958% greater than the "rolled back" rate of2.346 mills, for Fiscal Year 2001/2002. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
