A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF A
PRINT OF TWO AMERICAN FLAGS, DONATED BY HARRY
MIRANDA, TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; PROVIDING
DIRECTION TO THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Harry Miranda is a Russian emigre, residing within the City of Sunny Isles
Beach; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Miranda takes great pride in the City of Sunny Isles Beach and, in
particular, had a desire to express his gratitude to Mayor Samson in some fashion; and
WHEREAS, after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Mr. Miranda felt that the
framed print of two American flags would be a most appropriate donation for City Hall
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Acceptance of Donation: The City of Sunny Isles Beach hereby gratefully accepts the
donation by Mr. Harry Miranda of a framed print depicting two American flags.
2. Direction to the City Manal!:er: The City Manager is hereby directed to place the print
at the entrance of our current City Hall, with the decision of the location of placement in
the newly constructed City Hall to be made at a later date.
3. Effective Date: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
