A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) FROM THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH
CIVIC, CULTURAL AND BEAUTIFICATION TRUST, INC., FOR THE
COLLINS A VENUE LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICA TION PROJECT;
PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach IS In the process of enhancing the
landscaping on Collins A venue; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission held a ground breaking ceremony on July
18,2002, of the Collins Avenue Landscape Beautification Project, at which time the Sunny Isles
Beach Civic, Cultural and Beautification Trust, Inc. presented the City with a check for Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for this Project; and
WHEREAS, the City has the authority to accept donations as a non-profit municipal
corporation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Accepting Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation of Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) made by the Sunny Isles Beach Civic, Cultural and Beautification
Trust, Inc., for the Collins Avenue Landscape Beautification Project
Section 2. Authoritv of City Manager. The City Manager is the authorized to do all things
necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.

Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 2002.
