A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH PROPOSED AD
VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 3.35 MILLS
PER ONE THOUSAND ($1,000) DOLLARS OF TAXABLE
ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 41 % GREATER THAN THE
"ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.37 MILLS, FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2002/2003; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of
Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2002 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS, on July 18,2002, the City Commission adopted Resolution No, 2002-460,
establishing the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 3.35 mills per One Thousand ($1,000)
Dollars of taxable assessed value, and pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles
Beach furnished the County Property Appraiser, the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and
place at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative
budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The proposed millage rate is hereby established as 3.35 per One Thousand ($1,000)
Dollars of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The millage reflected is 41 %
greater than the "rolled back" rate of 2.37 mills, for Fiscal Year 2002/2003.
Section 2.
This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
