RESOLUTION NO. 2002- ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF
FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00) FROM THE SUNNY ISLES
BEACH CIVIC, CULTURAL AND BEAUTIFICATION TRUST, INC.,
FOR THE COLLINS AVENUE LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICATION
PROJECT; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE
AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in the process of enhancing the landscaping
on Collins A venue; and
WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Civic, Cultural and Beautification Trust, Inc. desires to
donate Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) to the City for the Collins Avenue Landscape
Beautification Project; and
WHEREAS, the City has the authority to accept donations as a non-profit municipal
<:orporation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Accepting Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation of Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) made by the Sunny Isles Beach Civic, Cultural and
Beautification Trust, Inc., for the Collins Avenue Landscape Beautification Project.
Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is authorized to do all things
necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution becomes effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 2002./
