RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 503
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
COMPUTER-RELATED SOFTWARE LICENSES AND A SECURITY-
TRACKING PROGRAM FROM CDW, THROUGH A GOVERNMENT
CONTRACT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TmRTY-SIX
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($36,000.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS
EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
TIllNGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to upgrade the City's workstations
and to add another level of security for the City's computer system; and
WHEREAS, CDW has available, through a government contract, the necessary licenses
and tracking software that is desired by the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with that effort the City wishes to upgrade each workstation
to licensed Microsoft Windows XP and Office XP Professional, and purchase a security-tracking
program from CDW, in an amount not to exceed $36,000.00, attached hereto as Exhibit "A",
waiving the competitive bidding process through the government contract.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Sectionl. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
purchase the computer-related software licenses and a security-tracking program from CDW,
through a government contract, in an amount not to exceed $36,000.00, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", and do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
