RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN
INTERIM INCREASE IN ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR
THE ACTING CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 20,2003, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2003-510
appointing Jane A. Hines as Acting City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk has demonstrated the ability to perform the duties ofthe
City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with standard compensation benchmarks used as part of the
Comprehensive Compensation Plan for Department Heads, an interim increase in annual
compensation by 10%, retroactive to February 20, 2003, is hereby warranted; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers and duties vested in the Mayor and the City
Commission by ~3.5 of the Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Interim Increase in Annual Compensation for Acting City Clerk. An interim increase
in annual compensation by 10%, retroactive to February 20,2003, is hereby approved for Acting City
Clerk Jane A. Hines.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of May, 2003.
