RESOLUTION NO. 2003- '0 L
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING GERRY
GOODMAN AS VICE MAYOR; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DA TE.
WHEREAS, ~2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, provides
that the City Commission shall elect one of its members as Vice Mayor at the first Commission
meeting after the 30th day following the day of the General City Election.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Declaring the Vice Mayor. That Gerry Goodman shall be Vice Mayor commencing
immediately, pursuant to ~ 2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Re: Selection of Vice Mayor
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission select a Commissioner to serve as Vice Mayor for
the coming year commencing on November 15, 2003.
REASONS:
City Charter 52.2(b) requires the City Commission to "...elect one of its members as Vice-
Mayor" at the first Commission meeting after the 30th day following the day of the General City
Election. The attached Resolution will memorialize the selection.
