A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THE
POLLING PLACE FOR PRECINCT 004 AND DESIGNATING THE POLLING
LOCATION WITHIN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
FORWARD THIS RESOLUTION TO MIAMI-DADE COUNTY; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections changed the location of the
polling place of Precinct 004 for the General Election on September 9, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the change of polling place placed a hardship on voters in Precinct 004, and
the City is now requesting that Miami-Dade County change it back to its original polling place at
the Plaza of the Americas, 17001 North Bay Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Request to Miami-Dade County to Change Polling Place Location for Precinct
004 and Designating the Polling Place within the City of Sunny Isles Beach: Request to the
Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections to change the polling place location for Precinct
004 from the Intracoastal Yacht Club House to the Plaza of the Americas located at 17001 North
Bay Road, approved as amended below:

Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
Section 3. Direction to the City Clerk: The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward this
Resolution to the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections.
Section 4.
Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
