RESOLUTION NO. 2003-L.L1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING ROSL YN BREZIN TO
FILL THE VACANCY FOR THE AT-LARGE COMMISSION SEAT;
PROVIDING FOR APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, ~2.5 of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, provides
the Mayor with the authority to fill a vacancy in the City Commission with the approval of the
City Commission; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of the death of Mayor Samson and the assumption of the Mayor's
seat by Vice Mayor Norman S. Ede1cup, the seat of the "at-large" Commission is vacant.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Filling of the At-Large Commission Seat Vacancy. The Mayor hereby nominates
and the Commission approves Roslyn Brezin to fill the vacancy for the At- Large Commission seat.
Section 2. Assumption of Duties. The aforementioned vacancy shall be filled until the next
regularly scheduled election for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, effective October 27,2003.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution becomes effective upon adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of October, 2003.
