A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF AN AD IN
THE ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE'S COMMEMORATIVE JOURNAL, IN
AN AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), HONORING
A VENTURA MA YORJEFFREY PERLOW AND A VENTURA MARKETING
COUNCIL BOARD CHAIR CLIFF SCHULMAN, ON RECEIVING THE
TORCH OF LIBERTY A WARD; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUA TE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Anti -Defamation League, created in 1913, to seek justice and fair treatment
for all citizens alike, established the Torch of Liberty Award to recognize outstanding individuals
who have exhibited humanitarian concerns; and
WHEREAS, the Anti-Defamation League, has announced that Aventura Mayor Jeffrey
Perlow and A ventura Marketing Council Board Chair Cliff Schulman, are this year's recipients of
this prestigious Torch of Liberty A ward, for their exemplary and inspirational work, reflecting the
goals and aspirations of the Anti-Defamation League; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to place an ad in the Anti-Defamation
League's Commemorative Journal, in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), honoring
Mayor Perlow and Mr. Schulman, Esq., during their gala dinner scheduled on March 30, 2004.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Ad. Placement of ad in the Anti-Defamation League's Commemorative
Journal, in the amount of $500.00, honoring A ventura Mayor Jeffrey Perlow and A ventura Marketing
Council Board Chair, Cliff Schulman, is hereby approved.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 2003.
