A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN (15) BUS BENCHES FROM REp
SERVICES, INC., UNDER STATE OF FLORIDA GOVERNMENT
SNAPS II AGREEMENT, IN AN AMOUNT OF $20,048.08.00,
ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHffiIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of replacing some of the existing
bus benches for the benefit and welfare of its citizens and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the purchase and installation of bus benches
and trash receptacles from Rep Services, Inc., via Resolution No. 2003-613 on November 20,
2003, and are satisfied with Rep Services, Inc., services; and
WHEREAS, Rep Services, Inc. provided a quote under the State of Florida Government
SNAPS II Agreement No. 6502375-3, for the purchase of fifteen (15) additional bus benches in
an amount of Twenty Thousand, Forty-Eight Dollars and Eight-Cents ($20,048.08); and
WHEREAS, these site amenities will greatly enhance the look of our City streets and
eliminate the potential hazard the deteriorating benches may cause, and in conjunction with that
effort the City wishes to purchase from Rep Services, Inc., piggy-backing off from the State
Agreement, 15 new bus benches, in an amount of $20,048.08, attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
purchase from Rep Services, Inc., fifteen (15) bus benches, in an amount of $20,048.08, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", and to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 2004.
