A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF
POLICE TO EXPEND UP TO $24,000.00 FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT
BUDGETED FUNDS TO GOLD NUGGET D/B/A ARGO UNIFORM
COMPANY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF UNIFORMS AND RELATED
ITEMS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department is in need of new and
replacement uniforms to centralize and upgrade the quality of the uniforms for all uniformed
employees of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, on October 16, 2001 via Resolution No. 2001-386, Police uniforms were
purchased through Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform Company, being the most responsive
bidder, and the City being satisfied with the service, the Chief of Police is now requesting the
expenditure of up to $24,000.00 from budgeted funds to Argo Uniform Company, for the
approved purchase of uniforms and related items.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of Chief of Police. Based on the attached memorandum, the Chief
of Police is hereby authorized to expend up to $24,000.00 from budgeted funds, to be utilized for
the approved purchase of police uniforms and related items for the Police Department, from
Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform Company.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of April, 2004.
