A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF
POLICE TO EXPEND UP TO $19,000.00 FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT
BUDGETED FUNDS TO COOPER GENERAL CORPORATION, FOR
THE MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND PURCHASE OF POLICE RADIOS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department is in need of maintenance,
repair and police radio communication equipment to ensure the safety and welfare of the City's
residents; and
WHEREAS, Cooper General Corporation is the sole source of providing police radios,
maintenance, and repair; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police is requesting the expenditure of up to $19,000.00 from
budgeted funds to Cooper General Corporation, for the maintenance, repair and purchase of
police radios.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of Chief of Police. Based on the attached memorandum, the Chief
of Police is hereby authorized to expend up to $19,000.00 from budgeted funds, to be utilized for
the maintenance, repair and purchase of police radios.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of April, 2004.
