Home My WebLink AboutReso 2004-674 RESOLUTION NO. 2004-1a!J!l A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND BRIGHT MAINTENANCE, INC., FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES ON A MONTH- TO-MONTH BASIS, IN AN AMOUNT OF $1,905.46 PER MONTH, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT AND TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THE ADDENDUM; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City's current contract for janitorial services with Bright Maintenance, Inc., has expired and the City is in need of janitorial services; and WHEREAS, the City publicly advertised Bid No. 01-03-03 for janitorial services, and Bright Maintenance, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with a sealed bid of Sixty-One Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Five Dollars ($61,435.00), and entered into an agreement via Resolution No. 2001-325; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to enter into an addendum to the agreement extending the agreement with Bright Maintenance, Inc. for janitorial services on a month-to-month basis until the new Government Center is completed, in an amount of $1,905.46 per month, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Addendum to Agreement. The addendum to agreement by and between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Bright Maintenance, Inc. for janitorial services in an amount of $1,905.46 per month on a month-to-month basis, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said addendum to agreement and do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this addendum. Section 3. adoption. Effective Date: This Resolution shall become effectively immediately upon PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May 2004. INC. AGREEMENT THIS ADDENDUM, EXECUTED THIS lc,.~ DAY OF ~, 2004, shall be an integral part of the service agreement. In the event that any terms or conditions contained herein conflict with the basic agreement, the terms and conditions of this addendum shall prevail. 1. EXTENSION OF CONTRACT. The parties have agreed to extend the original contract which will expire on April 30, 2004. 2. TERM. The duration of this agreement shall be on a month to month basis until the Government Center building is completed provided, however, the City does not elect to terminate the agreement pursuant to Section lOin the main agreement.
