A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT TO TRUMP
GRANDE OCEAN RESORT & RESIDENCES TO HOST "X-
CHANNEL LAUNCHES LIVE ON THE BEACH WITH "NO
LIMITS" THE ULTIMATE RAMP JAM" AND "ALEX
MORGAN RACE OF THE STARS" ON SATURDAY
AUGUST 28, 2004 AND SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, 2004;
PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO
DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Sunny Isles Beach Ordinance No. 2004-203 requires a Special Event permit
for certain events; and
WHEREAS, Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences has submitted a Special Event
Permit Application to host the "X-Channel Launches live on the beach with "NO LIMITS" The
Ultimate Ramp Jam" and "Alex Morgan Race of the Stars" on August 28 & 29, 2004; and
WHEREAS, this event will be broadcast live, nationwide and showcase Sunny Isles
Beach to a new audience; and
WHEREAS, this event has the potential to generate additional revenue for local
businesses.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Special Event Application. The City Commission hereby approves
the special event permit for Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences to host the "X-Channel
Launches live on the beach with "NO LIMITS" The Ultimate Ramp Jam" and "Alex Morgan
Race of the Stars" event on Saturday, August 28, 2004 and Sunday, August 29, 2004.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 2004.
