A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BE~CH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CITY COMMISSION

MEETINGS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2005; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish
a schedule of City Commission meetings for calendar year 2005;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The schedule for City Commission meetings for calendar year 2005 shall be as set
forth herein:
7:30 p.m, Regular Meeting: 2nd Thursday in January: Jan.
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Thursday in January: Jan.
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 2nd Thursday in February: Feb.

7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Tuesday in March: Mar.

Section 2. Direction to City Clerk: The City Clerk is hereby directed to notice the public of
any Zoning Hearing meeting cancellations via Cable TV, and posting.
Section 3,
This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Re: Resolution Establishing a Schedule for City Commission Meetings for Calendar
Year 2005
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution establishing a
schedule for City Commission meetings for calendar year 2005.
REASONS:
The City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish a regular schedule of
City Commission meetings for calendar year 2005. Consistent with the requirements of City
Ordinance No. 2000-107, all of the monthly meetings have been scheduled for the second and
forth Thursday of each month (except the March and October meetings) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Due to the observance of Purim, the second meeting in March is scheduled for Tuesday, March
22, 2004; and due to the observance of Simchat Torah, the first meeting in October is scheduled
for the second Tuesday of the month on October 11, 2005. The second meetings of the month
are on a "when needed" basis.
