RESOLUTION NO. 2004-1213
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE RENAMING OF THE
MAYOR'S ADVISORY COUNCIL'S HEALTH AND WELFARE
COMMITTEE TO THE "HEALTH AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
COMMITTEE"; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Advisory CouncillHealth and Welfare Committee wishes to
change the Committee's name to "Health and Community Activities Committee"; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved changing the name at its Commission meeting
on September 22, 2004.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Rename the Health and Welfare Committee. The Mayor's Advisory CouncillHealth
and Welfare Committee shall be renamed the Health and Community Activities Committee.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 2004.

Re: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENAMING OF THE MAYOR'S
ADVISORY COUNCIL'S HEALTH AND WELFARE COMMITTEE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution.
REASONS:
Members of the Mayor's Advisory Council/Health and Welfare Committee has requested to
change their Committee's name to the Health and Community Activities Committee. On
September 22, 2004 the City Commission approved renaming the Mayor's Advisory Council's
Health and Welfare Committee to "Health and Community Activities Committee" and asked
staff to prepare a resolution to be placed on tonight's agenda.
