A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING THE MAYOR'S FACT FINDING
COMMITTEE FOR THE BEACHW ALK INITIATIVE;
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A CHAIR AS
THE LIAISON TO THE CITY COMMISSION;
PROVIDING FOR THE SELECTION OF COMMITTEE
MEMBERS; PROVIDING FOR THE TERMINATION OF
COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4.3 of the City Charter, the City Commission has the
authority to create advisory committees; and
WHEREAS, the City is contemplating the construction of a ten-foot wide serpentine
path constructed of crushed white shells along with landscaping enhancements treatments and
desires to ascertain additional information before a substantive decision can be made on this
initiative; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to establish a fact finding committee
for the Beachwalk initiative to serve the citizens of Sunny Isles Beach and on which the citizens
may serve and secure input from the citizenry; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission desires to create the following fact finding
committee: Beachwalk Initiative Fact Finding Committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISISON
OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Establishment of a Fact Finding Committee. The City Commission hereby creates
the following fact finding Committees: Beachwalk Initiative Fact Finding Committee.
Section 2. Appointment of Chairperson and Committee Members. Pursuant to the City
of Sunny Isles Beach Rules of Procedure adopted by the City Commission, the Mayor shall
appoint the chairperson of the committee, and the Commission shall appoint the following
individuals as members:
Henry Kay
Hal Rosenstein
Dr. Kathy Schultz
Anthony LoCastro
Gloria Taft
Alexander Fusco
Hassida "Cassey" Gabor
. Isaac Aelion
Section 3. Termination of Committee. The City Commission has the authority to create
and/or terminate any Committee at anytime.

Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
