A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
65mm X 65mm X 90mm OPTIC CRYSTALS WITH ART WORK FOR
THE NEW GOVERNMENT CENTER, IN AN AMOUNT OF $18,250.00,
QUOTE ATTACHED HERETO AS EXIDBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach will be opening the new government center
and is desirous of producing an item to commemorate the occasion; and
WHEREAS, LOOXIS of Florida, a soul source vendor, provided a quote for the
purchase of optic crystals with art work in an amount of Eighteen Thousand, Two Hundred and
Fifty Dollars ($18,250.00); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of the
optic crystals from LOOXIS of Florida in an amount of$18,250.00.
Section 2. Authoritv of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Re: PURCHASE OF 65mm X 65mm X 90mm OPTIC CRYSTALS OF SUNNY ISLES
BEACH GOVERNMENT CENTER
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution approving the
purchase of the crystals from LOOXIS of Florida, a sole source vendor.
REASONS
The city wishes to commemorate the opening of the new Government Center. This item will
accomplish that goal.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Dezer-Trump organization, through my contact with Mr. Gil Dezer, has offered to contribute
50%of the cost of this commemorative item.
