A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2005-792
ESTABLISHING A REVISED SCHEDULE FOR CITY COMMISSION
MEETINGS FOR THE REMAINDER OF CALENDAR YEAR 2005 BY ADDING
SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS TENTATIVELY ON THURSDAY,
SEPTEMBER 8, 2005 AT 6:00 P.M., AND THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22,2005,
AT 6:00 P.M., FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005/06 BUDGET HEARINGS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to revise the
established schedule of City Commission meetings for the remainder of calendar year 2005 by
adding Special City Commission meetings tentatively on Thursday, September 8, 2005, and
Thursday, September 22,2005, at 6:00 p.m., for Fiscal Year 2005/06 budget hearings.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The schedule for City Commission meetings for calendar year 2005 shall be revised
as set forth herein:
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Thursday in July: July 28, 2005 (when needed)
No Meetings in August
6:00 p.m. 1st Bude:et Hre:: 2nd Thursdav in September: Sept. 8. 2005
7:30 p.m. Refular Meeting: 2nd Thursday in September: Sept. 8,2005
6:00 p.m. 2n Bude:et Hre: 4th Thursdav in September: Sept. 22. 2005
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Thursday in September: Sept. 22,2005 (when needed)
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 2nd Tuesday in October: Oct. 11,2005
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Thursday in October: Oct. 27,2005 (when needed)
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in November: Nov. 17,2005
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 2nd Thursday in December: Dec. 8, 2005
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 4th Thursday in December: Dec. 22,2005 (when needed)
Section 2. Direction to City Clerk: The City Clerk is hereby directed to notice the public of
any Zoning Hearing meeting cancellations via Cable TV, and posting.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Re: Resolution Revising City Commission Meeting 2005 Schedule for FY 2005/06
Budget Hearings
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution amending the
schedule of City Commission meetings for the remainder of the year 2005, by adding Special
City Commission meetings tentatively on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., and
Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 6:00 p.m., for Fiscal Year 2005/06 budget hearings.
REASONS:
These meetings are for the purpose of establishing a Millage rate and consideration of adoption
of a proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2005/2006, and need to be scheduled around the Miami-
Dade County Commission and Miami-Dade County School Board meeting schedules. Therefore
it is requested that the City Commission schedule a Special City Commission meeting tentatively
on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., for the First Budget Hearing; and on Thursday,
September 22, 2005, at 6:00 p.m., to adopt the Final Budget.
