RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 8~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE CITY TO
PARTNER WITH THE NORTH MIAMI BEACH OPTIMIST LITTLE
LEAGUE BASEBALL PROGRAM BY DONATING TWO THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($2,000.00) TO THEIR OPERATING FUND; PROVIDING
FOR THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach IS committed to providing recreational
activities to the young children in this community; and
WHEREAS, the City has formed a partnership over the years with North Miami Beach
Optimist Little League Baseball Program to provide baseball to the children in this community;
WHEREAS, the partnership between the City and the Optimist League is mutually
beneficial.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Approval of Partnership. The City Commission hereby approves the partnership
between the City and North Miami Beach Optimist Little league.
Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Commission directs the City Manager to do
all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution, which include but not limited to donating
$2,000.00 (Two Thousand Dollars) to the Optimist League.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February 2006.

North Miami Beach Optimist Donation
At its regular meeting of February 16, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No.
2006-889, which approved a $2,000.00 donation to the North Miami Beach Optimist League.
