A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FIVE (5)
LARGE FLOWER POTS FROM WILLIAMS ISLAND
OCEAN CLUB; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Williams Island Ocean Club has graciously offered to donate five (5) large
flower pots to the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, these pots are four feet (4') deep and five feet (5') in diameter and are
valued at Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,200.00) each, for a total of Eleven Thousand
Dollars ($11,000.00); and
WHEREAS, City staff envisions planting small trees in the pots and placing them in
front of the pump station at the end of North Bay Road in Golden Shores, pending City
Commission approval of their acceptance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Accepting Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts a donation of five (5)
large flower pots from Williams Island Ocean Club.
Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager has the authority to do all things
necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution is effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of May 2006.

Acceptance of Donation of Flower Pots
At its regular meeting of May 18, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2006-
926, which accepted a donation of flower pots from Williams Island Ocean Club. Attached is a
copy of the approving resolution for your files.

Acceptance of Donation of Flower Pots from Williams Island Ocean Club
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Commission adopt the attached resolution accepting a donation of
five (5) large flower pots from Williams Island Ocean Club, 18140 Collins Avenue, Sunny
Isles Beach, 33160.
REASONS
Williams Island Ocean Club has graciously donated five, large flower pots to the City. The
pots are four feet (4') deep and five feet (5') in diameter. Staff envisions planting small trees in
the pots and placing them in front of the pump station at the end of North Bay Road in
Golden Shares. This will make the area more presentable to the neighborhood.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The pots are valued at Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,200.00) each, for a total
value of Eleven Thousand Dollars ($11,000.00).
