RESOLUTION NO. 2006-.9..3.5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE
AND ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE
AS MEMBERS TO THE SHORELINE
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 33D-21 of Miami-Dade County Code requires certain
development projects to be reviewed by Miami-Dade County Shoreline Development
Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is authorized to appoint two additional
members on the committee to review development projects within the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appointment. The City Commission hereby appoints the City Manager or
designee and Assistant City Manager or designee to the Shoreline Development Review
Committee unless indicated otherwise by the City Commission.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RE: Shoreline Development Review Committee Appointment
At its regular meeting of June 15, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2006-
935, which appointed the City Manager (or designee) and Assistant City Manager (or designee)
to the Shoreline Development Review Committee. Attached is a copy of the approving
resolution to assist you with processing this item.

RE: Shoreline Development Committee
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the attached Resolution be approved.
Reasons:
As you may know, any development project that abuts Biscayne Bay is subject to review by the
Miami-Dade County's Shoreline Committee. The Committee consists of 15 members and the
City Commission is authorized to appoint two (2) additional members when the committee
reviews a development project in the City.
It is my understanding that one or two projects located in the City will be reviewed. As such, the
City Commission is required to appoint two (2) additional members. More importantly, the
County Code requires approval of the Shoreline Committee as a condition for approving certain
development projects by the City Commission.
