A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
A PROPOSAL FROM SIGNS FOR YOU, INC. FOR THE
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF FOUR (4) BEACH
ACCESS DEDICATION SIGNS, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED FOURTEEN THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($14,400.00), A TT ACHED HERETO
AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has numerous beach accesses, \vhich provide public access to the
beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has expressed a desire to dedicate certain beach
accesses in the City; and
WHEREAS, staff has contacted Signs For You, Inc. ("Signs For You"), the company
that manufactured and installed the beach access dedication signs for the Ellen M. Wynne Beach
Access; and
WHEREAS, Signs for You has agreed to undertake this project and has submitted a
proposal for services, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($14,400.00); and
WHEREAS, staff has determined the proposal from Signs For You is reasonable and
customary for such services; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to contract Signs For You for the purchase and installation
of the four (4) beach access dedication signs; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission will announce at a later date and time the specifics
(name and location) for the two dedicated beach accesses.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Proposal. The Proposal from Signs For You, Inc. for the purchase
and installation of four (4) beach access dedication signs, in a total amount not to exceed
Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($14,400.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and
the same, is hereby approved.

Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June 2006.

Approval of Purchase of Four (4) Beach Access Dedication Signs
At its regular meeting of June 15, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2006-
938, which approved the purchase of four (4) beach access dedication signs from Signs For
Your, Inc. Attached is a copy of the approving resolution and quote to assist you with
processing this item.

Approval of Purchase and Installation of Beach Access Signs
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution approving the
purchase and installation of four (4) beach access dedication signs from Signs For You, Inc.
REASONS:
The City Commission has expressed a desire to dedicate certain beach accesses. In order to
commemorate these designations, beach access dedication signs would be purchased and
installed at the two (2) affected locations. Further, signs would be installed at the east and the
west entrances of the two (2) locations.
As such staff contacted Signs For You, Inc., the company that manufactured and installed the
signs for the Ellen M. Wynne Beach Access, regarding the purchase and installation of the four
(4) beach access signs. Signs for You, Inc. has agreed to undertake this project and has
submitted a proposal for professional services, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand
Four Hundred Dollars ($14,400.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
These four (4) signs are not part of Sunny Isles Beach Bid No. 06-06-01 Beach Access Signs,
issued May 2006 for general beach access signs.
