A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($39,000.00) TO 17200 COLLINS AVENUE LTD., FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL FENCING AT THE TOWN CENTER PARK; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") desires to purchase and install additional fencing around the perimeter of the mangrove area within the Town Center Park for the safety and welfare of its citizens and visitors; and WHEREAS, Town Center Park was turned over to the City on Friday, October 21,2005 and as such is the responsibility of the City; and WHEREAS, the improvements are necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of Smmy Isles Beach citizens and visitors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorization of Payment. The City Commission hereby authorizes the payment of Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) for the purchase and installation of additional fencing at the Town Center Parle Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. REASONS The Town Center Park was turned over to the City on October 21, 2005. Since then we have been making additional improvements to insure the safety and welfare of the visitor. The resolution that is before you is for additional fencing that was installed along the perimeter of the mangrove area within the park.
