A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING CERTAIN APPOINTMENTS TO THE FIVE
(5) ADVISORY COMMITTEES (WHICH COMPRISE THE
MAYOR'S ADVISORY COUNCIL), MORE
SPECIFICALLY OUTLINED ON EXHIBIT "A"
ATTACHED HERETO; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 4.3 of the Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter provides the City
Commission with the authority to create advisory committees; and
WHEREAS, on February 19, 2004, via Resolution No. 2004-644 the City Commission
created five (5) advisory committees, which comprise the Mayor's Advisory Council (M.A.C.);
and
WHEREAS, M.A.C. consists of the following committees: (1) Community Activities
and Health; (2) Traffic & Safety; (3) Tourism and Development; (4) Education/Schools; and (5)
Long Range Planning and Intergovernmental Relations; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2004-644 provides that the Mayor shall appoint one (1)
chairperson for each Com~ittee and designate one Commissioner as liaison between the
Committee and the Comrni~sion; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2004-644 further provides that each Commissioner shall
appointment one (1) member to each advisory committee; and
WHEREAS, advisory committee appointments are for a one-year term and expIre
ammally in April; and
WHEREAS, Committee members shall continue to be governed by the terms of
Resolution No. 2004-644.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISISON OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Advisory Committee Appointments. The City Commission hereby
approves the following appointments to the five (5) advisory committees (which comprise the
Mayor's Advisory Council), as more specifically outlined on Exhibit "A" attached hereto:
(1) Community Activities and Health Committee:
Liaison: Vice Mayor Roslyn Brezin
Chairperson: Honey Schiff
Members: Isaac Feldman; Henry Kay; Lee Liebman; Joseph 1. Ades
Honorary Member: Ben Kleinerman

Resolution No. 2006-913, which appointed you to the <<Company_Name>>. Please be advised
that Committee Members are governed by the Rules of Procedure that govern the City
Commission; Resolution No(s). 2004-644 and 2004-666; and the Sunshine and Public
Records Laws and Financial Disclosure Requirements ofthe State of Florida. Attached are
copies of the affecting Sunny Isles Beach legislation and information on Sunshine and Public
Records Laws for your reference.
Customarily, Committees meet once per month and an agenda is mailed to you one week
before the meeting. Committee Members who miss three (3) consecutive meetings may
be removed from office. Therefore, if you are unable to attend a meeting, please call me
so that it can be considered an excused absence. The next meeting of the Committee is
scheduled for day, May _,2006 at _:00 p.m.
Committee appointments are for a one year term, but may be renewed as often as desired.
If you wish to accept this appointment, please complete the attached Statement of
Financial Interests and return it to me by May 1, 2006. If you wish to decline this
appointment, please indicate so on this letter and return it to me by May 1,2006.
