A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES
BEACH PROPOSED AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY
RATE AT 2.95 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($l,OOO.OO) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 23%
GREATER THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.400
MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006/2007; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of
Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of2006 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the
County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public
hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and
WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy
rate at 2.95 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Establish the Proposed Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby established
as 2.95 per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles
Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 23% greater than the "rolled back" rate of2.400 mills, for
Fiscal Year 2006/2007.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 14th day of September, 2006.

Approval of Proposed Millage Rate
At its regular meeting of September 21, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No.
2006-963, which established a proposed millage rate for fiscal year 2006/2007. Attached is a
copy of the approving resolution for your files.
