A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS IN A
TOTAL AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY
DOLLARS ($3,950.00) FROM VARIOUS BUSINESS OWNERS TO
PARTIALLY SPONSOR THE CITY'S ANNUAL "BOOOGIE ON THE
BEACH" EVENT, OCTOBER 27 AND 28, 2006j AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
TmS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach provides various events for its citizens
including the "Booogie by the Beach"; and
WHEREAS, various business owners wishes to donate a total of Three Thousand Nine
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,950.00) for the October 27 - 28, 2006 "Booogie on the Beach" annual
event to partially sponsor the event in lieu of advertising that names them as sponsors of this
event; and
WHEREAS, "Booogie on the Beach" is a special Halloween event to be held at the
Sunny Isles Beach Government Center parking lot for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Acceptance of Donations. The City Commission hereby accepts the donations
from various business owners, in a total amount of Three Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars
($3,950.00) that partially sponsors the October 27 and 28, 2006 "Booogie on the Beach" annual
event to be held at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center parking lot.
Section 2. Authoritv of Citv Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of October 2006.

Approval of Acceptance of Charitable Donations for Booogie by the Beach 2006
At its regular meeting of October 19,2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2006-
1001, which approved the acceptance of certain charitable donations for Booogie by the Beach
2006. Attached is a copy of the approving resolution to assist you in processing this item.

APPROVAL OF ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION FOR SPONSORSHIP
FROM VARIOUS BUSINESS OWNERS FOR THE OITS ANNUAL
HALLOWEEN EVENT
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution to approve the
acceptance of donations in the total amount of Three Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($3,700.00)
from the following business owners to partially sponsor the city's Halloween Event, Booogie By the
Beach, on Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th, 2006:

The Cultural and Human Services Department seeks sponsors for this 2-day event to assist in
defraying the costs of providing this event to the residents and visitors of Sunny Isles Beach. These
local businesses take this opportunity to participate in this community event to financially assist in
providing a quality event as well as marketing themselves to the community that they serve.
