A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING

EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has the authority to nominate the Vice Mayor, with confirmation by
the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, provides that there
shall be a Vice Mayor who shall be elected in any calendar year in which there is no City election at
the first Commission meeting in the month of November of such year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Declaration of Vice Mayor. That L ~.l\~ :t1B~hall be Vice Mayor
commencing immediately, pursuant to g2.2(b) of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter.
Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of November 2006,

Declaration of Lewis J. Thaler as Vice Mayor 2006-2007
At its regular meeting of November 16, 2006, the City Commission adopted Resolution No.
2006-1013, which declared Lewis J. Thaler as Vice Mayor of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
