Home My WebLink AboutReso 2006-947 RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -ft7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF FOUR (4) MASTER METER MACHINES FROM BYTEWISE SOLUTIONS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($40,000.00), A TT ACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City is desirous of updating the individual parking meters at the parking lot located at the Ellen M. Wynne Beach Access and the parking lot located at the island between the north and south bound lanes under the north bound ramp to the William Lehman Causeway; and WHEREAS, recently the City installed a master meter machine, which accepts credit cards, dollar bills. and coins, at the Pier Park parking lot, WHEREAS, the new master meter machine has provided for better service to parking lot patrons and better accounting for the City; and WHEREAS, the Pier Park parking lot master meter machine was purchased from Bytewise Solutions. Inc. ("Bytewise Solutions, Inc.), and WHEREAS, Bytewise has submitted a proposal for the purchase and installation of four (4) master meter machines, in an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) at the two aforementioned locations; and WHEREAS, staff has determined the pricing, terms, and conditions are reasonable and customary; and WHEREAS, the City desires to contract with Bytewise for the purchase and installation of a four (4) master meter machines at said locations. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Purchase and Installation. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase and installation of four (4) master meter parking machines from Bytewise Solutions, Inc., in a total amount not to exceed Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00), as quoted on the proposal attached hereto as Exhibit "A. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. This data coupled with Parkfolio, a web based hosted service enables you to: a. Perform Real time Credit Card Authorizations b. Get Real time Alarms (machine problems etc.) c. Get Real time reporting of events (Collections made at the machine) d.
